Friday Film Nights at LAC Gallery 121 A East Main Street (Entrance on Maiden Lane next to Groucho’s) Lexington, South Carolina 29072 Summer 2017 Starting June 9-August 25 7 PM – 9:00 PM Hosted by LAC Gallery Free and Open to the Public Throughout the summer, beginning Friday June 9th - August 25, enjoy artistic and innovative films on LACs large screen. Afterwards enjoy creative discussions, show off inspired art or cosplay and trivia related to each film or episode. Free and open to the public, space is limited so reserve your seat thru Eventbrite (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/friday-film-nights-at-lac-tickets-35324151488) today. Charges apply for drinks & "specialty drinks" & gourmet concessions. Gallery open 30 minutes prior for early birds. All movies begin promptly at 7pm. LAC’s Friday film nights begin on June 9 with the 1st episode of the film series “How Art Made The World”. This five-part BBC-One documentary series looks at the influence of art on the current day situation of our society. June 9 Episode 1 More Human Than Human June 16 Episode 2 The Day Pictures Were Born June 23 Episode 3 Art of Persuasion June 30 Labyrinth* July 14 Mirror Mask* July 21 Episode 4 Once Upon a Time July 28 Murder on the Orient Express 1974 by Agatha Christie August 11 Dark Crystal* August 18 The Monuments Men 2014 by George Clooney August 25 Episode 5 To Death and Back Again *Attendees are invited to present their visual art or cosplay, costumes inspired by these films during discussion period. June 30 1986 Labyrinth by Jim Henson, George Lucas, and Brian Froud. Meet your friend Ludo, find out what a hoggle is and don’t lose your head in a dance with Fireys. July 14 2005 Mirror Mask by Neil Gaiman. Create a mask at CJ’s Thursday Creative class or bring your own. Discover flying books and find out why the City of Light which is being consumed by shadows.
